	1981 Pontiac Trans am 5.0.L Black and gold special edition, only 947 produced. It doesn't look like it, but it is in fact a S/E with most of the S/E apperance removed. It will be restored to factory specifications except for the aut. trans which will be kept.
	This is a really good looking Trans Am. It is in fact a 80 Indy 500 Pace Car T/A that originally came with a Turbo 301/Automatic drivetrain along with all of the good WS6 handling stuff and disc brake rear. It was converted to a 400/4-speed setup (by this time the original 301T engine was long gone) along with the front clip and shaker hood from a '78. All this was done by the previous owner. Biggest change is the swap of a 4-speed for a T-56 6-speed trans. This makes the car much more driveable (0.62:1 overdrive in 6th gear) on the highway with the 3.73 gears that the previous owner also installed. The only clues as to the car's true Pace Car origins are the silver mirrored T-tops and the red backlit instrumentation, other than the VIN code. The rims are a restored set of 15x8 WS6 snowflake wheels

	I saw this really cool Trans Am at a gathering in Randers DK, -- Note the blower!! The engine is a 454 chevy with a 174 B&M underhood blower. It is now fitted with a Holley 250 blower. Click on the picture to see more.
